Pleasure Yacht - 2001 - 45 m : Harmony and contrast were the inspirations for the decor of this luxury full-displacement 44-metre motoryacht, with hull in steel and superstructure in aluminium.
The colours of the upholstery, fittings and panelling have been combined to carefully emphasise all of the areas throughout the craft.
Below deck, you'll not only find accommodation for eight guests in one twin and three large double cabins, but also mauve green and red floors.
However, up on the main deck, the dominant colour, from huge open space that includes both the saloon and dining room, right up to the 80-square metre forward owner's suite, is lichen green. The first deck, on the other hand, has a large space divided between lounge and games area, all in shades of aquamarine with the red theme picked up again in the upholstery in the forward control room. The decks are connected to each other by large stairs which end on the flying deck. Although it is all plexiglass on one side, the stairs still require 22 cubic metres of teak. The wood panelling required 5900 sq.m of mahogany veneer. The ceilings are made from okoumé and painted straw yellow with tromp l'oeil effects emphasised by teak trim. The floorings are all stained wood with 15-centemetre teak coamings marking out the spaces. The panelling, head and edges of the beds are all upholstered in leather, while the bathrooms all have marble floors and glass shower boxes. The solid teak dining table in the dining room has been painted and lacquered with a seascape. The sofa upholstery, curtains and brocades are all silk. In both saloons, the plasma TV is hideaway, requiring just the simple touch of a button to make it slide behind the ceiling panelling.
There can be no doubt that New Master is yet another in a long line of masterpieces from Italy. In fact, we'd go so far as to say she hails a whole new era in the world of megayachts. |
